We decided to reveal some concept designs for another of the other crew backgrounds, Fringers. Fringers
prefer to ply their trade in the outer systems, away from the prying eyes of
the Sol Alliance. Colonists, criminals
on the run, or just every day citizens looking for a little more breathing room
all comprise the inhabitants of the outlying systems. In deep space, trade lanes are plagued by marauders
and galactic highwaymen while corrupt provincial governors protect their own
interests more often than the Sol citizens they were hired to govern. Life in the outer fringes is hard and rife
with danger. But, for those tough or
stubborn enough to survive, the rewards can be quite lucrative.
